The short version

downkeep is a free markdown notebook. You own your content. Don't use it for anything illegal or abusive. We can shut it down or change things at any time.

Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create on downkeep. We don't claim ownership of your notes. We store them to provide the service and display public notes to visitors you share them with.

Acceptable use

Don't use downkeep to host malware, phishing pages, illegal content, or to harass anyone. We reserve the right to remove content or disable accounts that violate this, with or without notice.

Availability

downkeep is provided as-is. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we make no uptime guarantees. We may change features, pricing, or discontinue the service.

Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the settings page. Deletion is permanent after a 30-day soft-delete window.

Liability

downkeep is provided without warranty. We're not liable for data loss, downtime, or any damages arising from use of the service.
